I've always done the bad palette and the pro one seems pretty complicated. I'll try it and see what happens.

Is there a good way to make a color pallet or a program that lays colors out the way you have them there?

I am not agree with you, even being interesting to see your point of view.

Everyone have their own way to work on pixel art. Mine is too far to be like that, because my pallete is done in a way that it's good for me and my understanding.

I... Don't get it at all.

I tried to calculate my own basic pallet on my own, and the colors were not correct. Even basing it on the colors here... Incorrect.

Furthermore, when I plugged these colors into MS paint, I got different HSL values than the ones listed here.

For example, the middle value of the wood listed here was H: 20 S: 43 L: 125

Listing them all (from darkest to lightest), the values were:

H: 3 S: 24 L: 57
H: 11 S: 36 L: 91
H: 20 S: 43 L: 125
H: 31 S: 60 L: 159
H: 40 S: 94 L: 192

So it appears that the +15 to Hue and Brightness have nothing to do with the colors chosen.

Could someone help me figure this out?? Thank you!

Hi there,
Well I tried to copy the wood palette and I got something very aproximate to it. I used photoshop with the HSB sliders.
The middle values which were given by Kiwinuptuo to start off were: H:30 B:52, if you noticed, she didn't gave us the Saturation value, so I would recommend you to play around with the saturation values to achieve the colours of the palette in question.
Also, take care, because in the wood palette shown by Kiwinuptuo, when she goes darker the Brightness value goes -14 not -15.

The HSB values I used to achieve this palette were:

Brightest: H:60 S:18 B:82
Bright: H:45 S:28 B:67
Middle: H:30 S:29 B:52
Dark: H:15 S:25 B:38
Darkest: H:0 S:15 B:24

Try those out, I hope this had helped a little ;)

I REALLY needed a tutorial like this, the main problem with my pixel art was trying to find the right colors. Thanks!
